A Little about Tumwater

Ever heard of Olympia Beer?  Tumwater is home of the Olympia Brewery, famous for the beer and "It's The Water" slogan. Unfortunately, the brewery closed down in 2003, and has been vacant ever since.  But, Tumwater as a community continues to grow and thrive in 2014.  The bustling community has seen rapid growth, both economically and population. Home to many state departments, Tumwater, has grown significantly in the last 5 years.  The once small town is now full of new home communities and big box stores.

Tumwater is also served by the Tumwater School District. The district serves over 6000 students, with 6 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, and 2 high schools.  Tumwater is also home to New Market Skills center, a technical school for high school aged students, that serves 25 high schools from 10 different districts. 

Tumwater features many outdoor activities.  It is home to heritage park and the Tumwater Falls, and the largest and most popular athletic/health club.  Tumwater is also only minutes away from the Capital Forest, which has 1000's of miles of hiking, camping, and other recreation area.
